The main aim of the procurement is to enter into a contract with a tenderer who has the capacity and competence to continue the municipality's systematic control of some of the most problematic foreign plant species (giant bear biscuits/tromsøpalme, giant whiskers and russesvalerot) within most of Oslo city and parts of Oslomarka.
The aim of the measures is that the number of occurrences and the amount of these plant species shall be reduced. It is also an important purpose to combat some locations of other foreign plant species with high and very high ecological risk, which poses a major threat to the municipality's biological diversity (cf. the Action Plan for Biological Diversity). Of these, large ciber species are prioritised (park liquer, giant lick and cross) and giant sprinkler seed bodies along waterways.
The contract could also be used for controlling other individual instances of foreign plants or several foreign plant species within individual areas or stretches (e.g. within protected areas, along defined stretches of road etc.).
The contract is a single procurement with a duration of two years, with options that can be taken up for 1+1 year.
