Joint transport procurement - Vest-Viken
The agreement shall apply to transporting and collecting (returns) of technical aids to a fixed reception/pick-up place in each of Vest-Viken's 20 municipalities. The need concerns transport of technical aids such as beds/accessories, manual and electric wheelchairs, rolling walkers, reading TV, scooters, bicycles, as well as small aids. Some of the aids are ready assembled, so that they can be difficult to stack at heights in the cars. The largest current aids are beds and parallel cycles, whilst the volume products are wheelchairs, walkers etc. Minor aids can be stacked in transport cages with the following measurements: 120 cm x 80 cm x 173 cm. Several of the aids have assembled lead or lithium-ion batteries. The sizes of batteries vary from car batteries to small watch batteries. Some aids will weigh up to approx. 180 kg (beds/wheelchairs). Beds are most often delivered in a transport position measuring 135 cm x 80 cm, but can also be delivered on pallets up to 5 in height, measuring 100 cm x 200 cm x 200 cm (600 kg). Electrical wheelchairs have measurements of up to 80 cm x 160 cm. Tandems can be large in volume and can take up to three (3) podiums. Minor aids are to be put in transport cages that have the following aims; 120 cm x 80 cm x 173 cm. There is a need for a minimum of two vehicles to be able to carry out the transport services on a scheduled route and schedule.
