Award of contract The attendance and attainment of children and young people is collected by the solution for CEC for people cared for by the Council who attend schools, or other places of education. This will include data collection from schools and providers both inside and outside of Cheshire East. It is mandatory to: - > Produce & maintain a database of cared for children and young people. As a minimum this should include social worker, education settings and carers information based on data provided by Cheshire East Council > Establish the child's or young person's attendance for both morning and afternoon sessions. > Where children or young people are educated off-site, contact to be made with the alternative provider to check the child or young person's attendance there, subject to agreement with the home school and the Virtual School. > Maintain individual attendance records for each child, using the standard nomenclature and coding for attendance as used in schools as described by the DfE: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/school-attendance > These records should be accessible at all times, in real time. > Alert carers or social workers of any child or young person who has unexplained absence within the duration of the session when the absence occurs, with a system for prioritising those children whose absence places them or others at an increased risk.
