STRAT5577 – Whittington Health NHS Trust Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services (NEPTS) operational transport provision
Patient Transport Service is the provision of transportation to and/or from hospital (and its constituent/associated clinics and other healthcare facilities) of patients (including but not limited to escorts and medical equipment where instructed or otherwise authorised by the Booking Provider) who, due to their medical conditions, require the skills or support from patient transport staff as they would otherwise not be able to attend their appointments and/or where use of public transport would have a detrimental effect on their health.
The framework agreement was established on behalf of Whittington Health NHS Trust, and was awarded to DHL Supply Chain Limited (contract award notice 2019/S 139-342914). It was made available to members of the North Central London Sustainability and Transformation Partnership and the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust group, and was structured in two lots: patient eligibility and booking services (lot 1) and non-emergency patient transport services (lot 2). Whittington Health NHS Trust's call-off contract was made under lot 2 for a 7 (5+2) year term, with a lifetime value at the point of entry of £12,853,996.00.
