Frøya municipality invites tenderers to an open tender contest for the deterrence of sitkagran in the Valen-Flatval area, as stage 2 of the municipality ́s work in combating the species. Sitkagran is classified with very high ecological risk and threatens, among other things, coastal clusters, where Frøya has a significant share of the country's mapped area. The assignment includes the production of up to 5,000 m³ sitkagran down to 4 cm in chest height diameter, with twigs, handling logging waste, terrain transport, transporting and improving terrain damage. In addition the contracting authority has the right to call-offs for up to 1,000 m³ at a unit price derived from the total price. Sitkagranen stands in small, scattered fields with poor load carrying capacity and proximity to buildings, and the operational conditions deviate considerably from traditional forestry operations. The tenderer shall follow-up the landowners through the inspection of each property and provide a dedicated gender neutral preferred opposite the municipality and landowners. The seemed to belong to the tenderer, and the value shall be worked in as deductions in a fixed total price. The work shall be carried out in the period from 1 December 2026 to 15 March 2027, and the contract will be awarded the tender with the lowest total price among tenders that fulfil the requirements. Signing of the contract requires political grants and an agreement with at least 75 percent of affected landowners. A joint site inspection will be held 13 October 2026 and the contracting authority would like input to the tender documentation in the question period.
