Stavanger municipality would like to inform tenderers that two procurements are planned in autumn 2026 for the project Nye Rogaland Teater og Stavanger museum. Stavanger municipality implemented a design contest in 2025 for a new theatre and museum building on the Kannik Height. The proposal After Eckhoff – Between trees, building and city, prepared by Lund Hagem Architects, DRDH Architects, Jonas Thor, Edit and Arup, was named the winner of the competition. A solution proposal is now available through the architectural competition, which corresponds to decision point BP1 in the municipality ́s project model for construction projects. The city council has given the project a mandate to further develop the project up until the investment decision (BP2). The solution proposal shall be further developed in the period up to BP2 through user participation, engineering design and quality assurance. The contracting authority intends to complete a decision-ready sketch project in autumn 2027. The draft project shall form the basis for the procurement of a turnkey contract with interaction. In order to carry out this phase, the following procurements are planned: Competition 1 - Multi-disciplinary consultancy team The procurement includes a multi-disciplinary consultancy team who shall assist the project with further development, quality assurance and delivery of a decision-ready draft project up until investment decision (BP2). The main aim is to form the basis for enquiry for a turnkey contract with interaction. Competition 2 - Engineering Design Manager The procurement includes engagement of the engineering design manager who shall assist the project manager with planning, coordination and execution of the process up until BP2.Se attached document for further information on the planned procurements.
