On behalf of Østfold Hospital, Sykehusinnkjøp HF intends to enter into a contract for the procurement of the Droplet Digital PCR system QX600 AutoDG.Section for gene technology at Østfold Hospital needs a new droplet digital PCR system for research purposes. Due to compatibility and continuity with existing methods, work flow and validated analyses, as well as performance comparable between historical and new datasets, Østfold Hospital must procure an instrument on the same technological platform as before. The contracting authority concludes on this basis that the terms for procurement without competition in accordance with the Public Procurement Regulations (FOA) § 13-4 letters b nos. 2 and 3 have been met, as competition in practice is excluded as a result of the need to continue the existing method platform to ensure continuity of research and data basis.
