Carlow County Council is seeking to procure the provision of Archaeological Consultancy Services Stages (i) to (iv) on the N80 Leagh Bends Scheme. It is anticipated that the Archaeological Consultancy Services required by the Contract will be the Stages: Stage (i) Test Excavations and Surveys; Stage (ii) Pre-Excavation Services; Stage (iii) Excavations and Preliminary Reporting; Stage (iv) Analyses, Reporting, Public Dissemination and Archiving; and Stage (i)k Archaeological Monitoring of Construction Works. The commencement of each Stage will require a written Instruction to the Archaeological Consultant by the Contracting Authority. Stage (ii), Stage (iii) and Stage(iv) are strictly provisional and may be carried out in whole, in part or not at all and with possible intervals between the phases (arising from e.g. seasonal constraints, statutory consents) at the sole discretion of the Client. Tenderers should note that Stage (i)k archaeological monitoring of construction works will only proceed where instructed by the Client.
