The Health Service Executive (HSE) intends to enter Direct Negotiations for the supply and delivery to the HSE of a Varicella Vaccine in accordance with the National Immunisation Advisory Committee Guidelines of Ireland (NIAC). This is following the Health Service Executive (HSE) inviting DPS tenderers to express their interest in submitting a tender whereby only one supplier responded with their intention to submit a tender. This is a VEAT notice to indicate that the HSE intends utilize EU public procurement directive Art 32.2(b) (iii) negotiated procedure without prior publication in the following case. (B) Where works, supplies or services can be supplied only by a particular economic operator for any of the following reasons: (iii) competition is absent for technical reasons. This notice is to indicate that the HSE intends to contract with this supplier as they are currently the sole agent in Ireland approved to supply of the Varicella Vaccine. This VEAT notice is subject to a 2 weeks standstill period after which contract execution will occur.
