The Council is looking to award to a suitably qualified, competent and experienced Engineering Consultancy that can undertake regular planned inspections and prepare reports for Kirklees Council owned structures. Highway Structures include: bridges (including footbridges, cycle route bridges, bridleway bridges, accommodation bridges, occupation bridges, swing bridges, subways, underpasses, buried culverts); retaining walls; sign/signal gantries; cantilever road signs; tunnels and which satisfy the dimensional criteria defined in the Well-Managed Highway Infrastructure: Code of Practice – Part C and CG 300 Technical Approval of Highway Structures. The services that the Contractor will provide are technical, engineering, and supervisory services associated with the execution of inspection works and the preparation of inspection reports for each structure.
