Operations under the new contract are scheduled to commence in the latter half of 2028. The project involves tendering the portion of the public bus transport in the Capital Region of Iceland currently operated by Strætó bs., taking into account network modifications due to the implementation of the new Fossvogur Bridge (Fossvogsbrú) and potentially the first routes of the Borgarlína BRT system. The lot to be tendered is estimated to include a minimum of 45 buses and a maximum of 65 buses.
