Vestland County plans to enter into a contract with a turnkey contractor for the execution of measure 1 in Førdepakken, including county road 601 Angedalsvegen-Hafstadvegen. Førdepakken is a toll financed development project that includes 20 prioritised sub-projects on national, county and municipal roads in Førde. The main aim is to ensure an environmentally friendly and predictable traffic situation, at the same time that the project facilitates densification and further town development in Førde. Førdepakken is a co-operation between Sunnfjord municipality, Vestland county and the Norwegian Public Roads Administration. Measure 1 includes the upgrading of county road 601 Angedalsvegen–Hafstadvegen. The project involves the establishment of a new roundabout in Angedalsvegen, the construction of a new bridge over Jølstra to Hafstadreina, as well as the upgrading of adjoining streets and the establishment of new installations for walking and cycling. The aim is to improve the capacity in the road network and connect the areas around Hafstadparken and Førdehuset closer together. The project shall also contribute to safer and more attractive solutions for soft road users.
