Akershus County Council invites stakeholders to a dialogue conference on how we can develop better ways of working and collaborating to include more young people in education, employment, and society. The purpose of the dialogue is to provide the best possible foundation for an innovative public procurement process by clarifying needs, opportunities, and the conditions required for success. We aim to bring together stakeholders from the public sector, employers and businesses, voluntary and non-profit organisations, social innovators, development and knowledge environments, young people, and others who see that they may have a role to play in this effort. The objective is to facilitate an open and collaborative dialogue on the challenges, opportunities, and how different resources and perspectives can work together more effectively. As a regional development authority, Akershus County Council plays a key role in connecting stakeholders, policy instruments, and knowledge across sectors and levels of government. The inclusion of young people in education, employment, and society is a shared objective across the entire organisation and forms part of a broader societal mission that no single actor can solve alone. Therefore, efforts must be coordinated across organisations, professional disciplines, and policy instruments. Within the County Council, the Department of Business Development, Sports, Diversity and Public Health has the coordinating responsibility for this work and therefore seeks to take a leading role in advancing this important agenda.
