Karmøy municipality is holding the procurement on behalf of the procurement cooperation. The procurement is for the procurement and delivery of printed books and it is divided into two lots. One framework agreement shall be signed for each sub-contract: Sub-contract 1 - School BooksDelkontrakt 2 - Library Books The aim of the procurement is to cover the municipalities ́ need for printed books to schools, school libraries and public libraries in the contract period. Sub-contract 1 – The School Books Framework agreement is for the procurement and delivery of printed books to schools and school libraries. The sub-contract includes i.a. school books, textbooks, subject books and other book groups for the school libraries. The price and discount provisions will vary depending on whether the book in question is covered by the current rules on fixed prices on books. The following municipalities participate: Karmøy kommuneHaugesund municipalityVindafjord municipalityTysvær kommuneSveio kommuneSuldal kommuneSauda, estimated value is NOK 47 million excluding VAT over the maximum contract period of four years. Sub-contract 2 – The library books framework agreement is for the procurement and delivery of printed books to the public libraries. The following municipalities participate: Karmøy kommuneHaugesund municipality Estimated value is NOK 13 million excluding VAT over the maximum contract period of four years. Tenderers can submit tenders for one or both lots. One framework agreement shall be signed with one tenderer per sub-contract. The framework agreements will be valid for two years, with an option for an extension for one + one years (2 +1+1 years). The maximum agreement period is four years.

The sub-contract is for a framework agreement for the purchase and delivery of printed books to schools and school libraries. The agreement includes, among other things, school books, textbooks, subject books and other book groups to the school libraries, as described in the tender documents. A framework agreement shall be signed with one tenderer. The contract will be valid for two years, with an option for an extension for one + one year (2 + 1 + 1 year).
