West Northamptonshire Council intends to award a contract for the provision of the National Dental Epidemiology Programme (NDEP) Oral Health Survey in accordance with national survey protocols. The service will include the planning, coordination, delivery and reporting of epidemiological surveys of oral health across West Northamptonshire.

West Northamptonshire Council intends to award a contract for the provision of the National Dental Epidemiology Programme (NDEP) Oral Health Survey in accordance with national survey protocols. The service will include the planning, coordination, delivery and reporting of epidemiological surveys of oral health among children (and other populations as determined by future NDEP requirements) across West Northamptonshire. The provider will be required to demonstrate substantial experience of delivering large-scale dental epidemiology surveys in accordance with the National Dental Epidemiology Programme methodology, including compliance with national training, calibration, quality assurance, governance, data submission and reporting requirements. The provider must also demonstrate access to appropriately trained and calibrated dental survey personnel and the organisational capacity to deliver surveys to nationally prescribed timescales. The survey findings will inform statutory oral health needs assessment, strategic commissioning, service planning and activity to reduce oral health inequalities across West Northamptonshire.
