The Smokefree Generation programme is a government-funded initiative designed to expand and strengthen local smoking cessation services. Through the use of this funding, Lincolnshire County Council has established this contract to increase capacity, improve accessibility, and support higher levels of quit attempts and successful smoking cessation outcomes across the county. This opportunity focuses on delivering enhanced stop smoking services, targeting populations with higher smoking prevalence and poorer health outcomes, while contributing to wider prevention objectives and reducing health inequalities. This is a short term interim contract award for a period of 6 months, pending commissioning of future smoking cessation services for Lincolnshire with effect from 1 April 2027.

The Council intends to award this contract to the existing service provider following the PSR Direct Award C process. Contract Title: Smoke Free Generation Contract Reference: CTPS0003 Description of the service to be provided: The service enhances and expands existing community-based stop smoking support across Lincolnshire through funding from the DHSC SmokeFree Generation (SFG) programme. Aiming to increase access to evidence-based smoking cessation services, support more people to set a quit date and successfully stop smoking.
