GPs to deliver community-based NHS Health Checks to improve the number of people over 40 accessing preventive assessment and advice; improve equity, ensuring that those who are most at risk are identified and prioritised appropriately; and to optimise opportunities to improve health and address risk factors for cardiovascular disease.

GPs to deliver community-based NHS Health Checks, which is aimed at providing healthy adults aged 40 to 74 with checks ups that look for early signs of stroke, kidney disease, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, or dementia. An award has been made following direct award Process B. The Lifetime Value of the award is £1,875,000 and the contract will provide the above services from 1st April 2026 until 31st March 2031. This is a new service with new providers.
