Ammonia Gas Control System - PR1248387-2830-W

As part of the 4mmonia project, we are developing testing and evaluation concepts for ammonia as a future fuel on component and full-scale engine test benches. The goal is to conduct research and development on dual-fuel combustion concepts for ammonia-powered engines with pilot ignition that ensure safe, low-emission engine operation. As part of the project, an ammonia gas control system for dual-fuel engines with port fuel injection is to be procured and integrated as an enclosed module into one of the engine test benches. The ammonia gas control system is designed to safely supply a medium-speed large engine with fuel gas at all times under reproducible conditions. It regulates and stabilizes the gas pressure, measures relevant process variables such as pressure and flow rate, provides the required gas volume for the respective load points, and also performs important safety functions such as shutting off the gas supply. This ensures that power, fuel consumption, and emissions measurements can be carried out under defined conditions and that the engine is safely shut down in the event of malfunctions.
