The London Borough of Tower Hamlets (the “Council”) is issuing this Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) Notice in advance of a future procurement exercise for the HAR6208 Mechanical Measured Term Contract. The contract will replace the existing Mechanical Measured Term Contract and support the Council´s Facilities Management and Technical Services functions. The contract will provide reactive mechanical repairs, planned preventative maintenance, statutory inspections, testing, servicing, associated remedial works and mechanical renewals and improvements. Services will be delivered across the Council´s operational estate, including corporate buildings, education establishments, public buildings, leisure facilities, parks assets and other properties managed or maintained by the Council. The purpose of this PME is to: • Provide advance notice of the Council´s proposed approach to procuring a replacement Mechanical Measured Term Contract. • Outline the indicative scope, contract model, value and timetable. • Invite interested Service Providers to participate in online Preliminary Market Engagement sessions. • Obtain feedback from Service Providers to inform the final specification, procurement strategy and commercial arrangements prior to commencement of the formal procurement process under the Procurement Act 2023. This notice is not a call for competition. Participation in the PME will not confer any advantage or disadvantage in any subsequent procurement process.
