Lot 5, Research Commissioning for Applied, Public Health and Social Care Infrastructure, is responsible for commissioning, managing and overseeing NIHR’s infrastructure investments that support population health, public health, social care and health and care service research. It provides strategic oversight of key infrastructure programmes and networks, builds research capability and capacity across the system, and ensures that research infrastructure generates high-quality evidence to inform policy, improve services, reduce inequalities and deliver better outcomes for patients, service users and communities.

There are options to extend the contract by up to 4 years.
