Karmøy municipality is herein a tender contest for a framework agreement for: Sub-contract 1.  Bio bags and bio sacks for food wasteDelkontrakt 2. Plastic and residual waste sacks The duration of the framework agreements is 2 years and 1+1 year in option. The estimated value of sub-contract 1: NOK 8,000,000 excluding VAT Estimated value sub-contract 2: NOK 3,000,000, excluding VAT The estimates are based on historical figures and are only indicative and are not binding for the contracting authority.

Sub-contract 1: Bio-bags and bio-sacks for food waste.

This sub-contract concerns bio-bags and bio-sacks (inner lines) for food waste. Karmøy municipality currently collects food waste from 140 litre bins every 2 weeks. Food waste is currently delivered to the production of biogas. The estimated annual consumption is 6,500,000 biobags and it is based on procurements in 2025.  Biosebags (inner lines) is a new tender in the municipality and we expect an annual consumption of between 7,000 and 8,000 sacks for 1st year. Food waste baskets are not included in the tender,

Sub-contract 2: Sacks for plastic and residue waste packaging.

This sub-contract concerns sacks for plastic packaging and extra sacks for residue waste. Karmøy municipality collects plastic packaging from households in sacks every 6 weeks. The plastic packaging is subsequently pushed and sent for recycling. Sacks for residue waste will be procured if needed by subscribers.  Sacks for residue waste will not be relevant until 2027, as we have many sacks in stock per day.  The estimated annual consumption is 301,000 bags for plastic packaging and is based on procurements in 2025 The estimated annual consumption is approx. 5,000 sacks for residue waste and is based on procurements in 2025.
