This notice is for participation in the pre-qualification selection process as the first stage for a competitive tender. The outcome of the PQQ process shall be a shortlist of 4-5 top scoring contractors. The works are to carry out the replacement of a lead roof to the south aisle the Grade I listed St Nicholas Church in Arundel. Associated works will include conservation repairs to the oak roof structure and box gutters, repointing adjacent flint walls, repairs and redecoration to cast iron rainwater goods and associated scaffolding for internal and external access. Please complete the attached questionnaire and return by 12pm on Friday 10th July to graeme@vallisandhall.com The outcome of the pre-qualification process shall be to generate at a shortlist of 4-5 contractors to be invited to the second stage and submit tenders for the works. The shortlist shall be established from the highest scoring contractors using the qualification criteria set out within the questionnaire. The information supplied will be checked for completeness and compliance with the instructions before responses are evaluated. Failure to provide the required information, make a satisfactory response to any question, or supply documentation referred to in responses, within the specified timescale, may mean that you are not invited to participate further. In the event that none of the responses are deemed satisfactory, St Nicholas Parochial Church Council ("The Employer") reserves the right to terminate the procurement and where appropriate re-advertise the procurement. You should be explicit and comprehensive in your responses to this PQQ as this will be the single source of information on which responses will be scored and ranked. The Employer expressly reserves the right to request you to provide additional information supplementing or clarifying any of the information provided in response to the requests set out in this PQQ. The Employer may seek independent financial and market advice to validate information declared, or to assist in the evaluation. Please note that the most important aspect is experience of similar work on historic and ecclesiastical buildings, an understanding of conservation philosophy and good craftsmanship. Sand cast lead work and oak rafter conservation repairs are to be carried out so a true understanding of these materials must be demonstrated. The Employer may disqualify you if you fail to: 1. Provide a satisfactory response to any questions in the PQQ or inadequately or incorrectly complete any question or have not provided the required information; 2. Submit your completed PQQ before the deadline The potential providers who are not disqualified in accordance with the above grounds shall be evaluated on the qualification criteria. This takes into account the economic and financial standing of participants and experience of conservation works demonstration technical knowledge and quality of the work.
