Cable Supply and Installation Services for PST7 and PST8 - PR1271632-2830-W
Research into marine propulsion systems (e.g., internal combustion engines, fuel cells, battery systems, reformers) is the core focus at the Fraunhofer IGP branch office located at Werftallee 13 in 18119 Rostock-Warnemünde. As part of the expansion of the test bench infrastructure there (PST7, PST8), additional test areas are to be set up in the coming years. To this end, new components—such as a generator set, two load banks, and an ammonia vaporizer—will be delivered. These must be properly connected to the electrical system. As explained in these specifications, the contract covers the professional electrical connection as a service, as well as the delivery and installation of all necessary and safety-related components. The scope of work is divided into three work packages, the specific parameters of which are listed below. 1. The first work package involves connecting a 2 MW load bank to test stand 8 via the power grid. This test stand is equipped with a 4-quadrant brake and a corresponding frequency converter. A circuit breaker panel is included in the scope of delivery for connecting the load bank. Cabling will run from the frequency converter cabinets to the circuit breaker panel and on to the load bank. In addition, the power supply to the frequency converter from the main distribution panel must be installed. Furthermore, the connection between the frequency converter and the 4-quadrant brake must be established. For this purpose, 8 existing cables, each 3x150/150 kA, will be used. This work package includes the delivery and installation of the necessary cables. 2. To connect a 5 MW load bank to a generator set on test bench 7, a low-voltage switchgear must be supplied that allows the load bank to be safely disconnected from the generator set in the event of a fault or for maintenance purposes. The electrical connection from the generator set to the low-voltage switchgear and on to the load bank is part of the first work package, as is the installation of the necessary cables. 3. The final work package describes the electrical supply to the existing supply infrastructure (NH₃ evaporator). The necessary cables must also be installed for this.
