This is a call for engagement ahead of tender for a single-stage Design and Build contract to convert two existing London Borough of Waltham Forest buildings into temporary accommodation: Rowan House, 1 Cecil Road, London E11 3HF (16 self-contained homes), and 130 Trumpington Road, Forest Gate, London E7 9EQ (14 self-contained homes). The two schemes are tendered as separate contracts under a competitive flexible procedure - single Pre-Selection Questionnaire and shortlist to tender. This exercise is designed to gauge market interest and capacity, and to collect insight on two specific points ahead of tender: the proposed approach to contract insurance, and the impact of the site conditions and programme on preliminaries. Interested contractors should express their interest through the Council´s ProContract portal and will be invited to a presentation session covering the scope, programme and site information for both schemes.
