Horten municipality needs to procure the necessary process documentation, licence/patent rights, software and the accompanying process assistance for the establishment of a new Falkensten treatment facility based on aerobic granular sludge technology (AGS).
The municipality has carried out a technology study for the new treatment facility. The study shows that AGS is the technology that covers the municipality ́s need for a future orientated, reliable and environmentally efficient treatment facility. The choice of AGS is justified by documented advantages connected to purification effect, energy consumption, chemical use, climate and environmental footprint, area requirements, operating costs and life cycle costs.
