Following consideration of the contractual position at the Northern Medical Centre and the expiry of the existing APMS contract, NHS West and North London Integrated Care Board (WNL ICB) on 29 June 2026 concluded that there was no further provision to modify the existing contract. The decision was therefore to award a temporary APMS contract under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Regulation 14 (Urgent Award) to The Islington GP Group Limited for an initial period of three months, with the option to extend for a further 3 + 3 months, to provide continuity of service while procurement arrangements are completed.

NHS West and North London Integrated Care Board (WNL ICB) considered the contractual arrangement at the Northern Medical Centre on 29 June 2026 as confirmed at the Primary Care Commissioning and Contracting Group meeting (PCCCG) held on the same day. Following consideration of the contractual position and the forthcoming expiry of the existing APMS contract, the ICB concluded that there was no further contractual provision available to modify the current contract. All decision-makers completed the appropriate conflict of interest considerations, and no conflicts of interest were identified. The decision was therefore to award a temporary APMS contract under Regulation 14 (Urgent Award) of the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, to The Islington GP Group Limited, for an initial period of three months, with the option to extend for two further periods of three months (3 + 3 months). This will ensure continuity of primary care services while procurement arrangements are completed. This notice relates to a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) contract modification. The modification has been made under the urgent circumstances provisions of the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award. The contract has now been formally modified.
