The Royal Air Force Museum is undertaking preliminary market engagement in relation to the potential replacement of its existing 4D cinema attractions at its London and Midlands sites. The Museum is seeking information from the market regarding the potential supply, installation and commissioning of modern 4D theatre attractions at both sites, each with approximately 16 seats. The potential requirement includes motion seating technology, immersive audio, modern projection technology, environmental and special effects systems, accessible design, and ongoing maintenance and support. The potential requirement may include removal of existing equipment and installations, strip-out, design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning, together with ongoing maintenance and support arrangements. The Museum is also seeking information on potential commercial and delivery models, including outright purchase, supplier-funded concession arrangements and alternative commercial structures. The final scope, commercial model, contract value and procurement approach have not yet been determined.
