Support with the coordination of scientific training courses
Coordinate the logistical and administrative aspects involved in the development and delivery of EFSA’s Scientific Training Courses
The contractor shall provide organisational, logistical, and pedagogical support for EFSA’s scientific training courses, ensuring smooth delivery in line with EFSA’s quality standards. The scientific content of the training courses will be provided by EFSA’s Subject Matter Experts (SubMEs). The contractor will cooperate with the nominated SubMEs to ensure effective course design and delivery, supporting them with pedagogical aspects such as structuring courses, determining learning sequences, recommending engagement activities, and aligning delivery with adult learning principles. The contractor shall support the design and delivery of training in three modalities: physical instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led training, and blended learning solutions.
Development of eLearning solutions
The contractor shall coordinate and implement the development of training courses delivered via eLearning. Based on the content materials and logical flow provided by EFSA’s Subject Matter Experts (SubMEs), the contractor will transform the subject matter into structured self-paced digital courses that are pedagogically sound, technically robust, and compatible with EFSA’s external virtual learning platforms requirements (e.g., SCORM formats, H5P formats, or any other format the designated platform supports) The contractor will act as the education and training expert, designing the learning structure, determining the delivery approach, and producing the technical implementation in line with EFSA’s standards.
EFSA’s external virtual learning platform support and account maintenance
EFSA currently uses the EU Academy platform (developed and managed by the JRC) as the selected EFSA’s external virtual learning platform to host and disseminate its digital learning content. While the technical maintenance of the platform (e.g., system upgrades, bug fixes, infrastructure) should be managed by the developer of the selected external virtual learning platform, EFSA requires a contractor to support its operational presence and coordinate related activities. The contractor will provide support in the following areas: • Account maintenance and coordination • Support to EFSA SubMEs and contractors (Lots 1 and 2) • Course and content management • Capacity building and promotion
