The information gathered through this Preliminary Market Consultation (PMC) will enable the AFM to proceed with a separate procurement procedure for the engagement of a suitably qualified and experienced consultancy firm. The appointed consultancy firm shall be responsible for the design, procurement support, implementation oversight, testing, commissioning, and certification of the required Building Services systems (supplied and installed by third party contractors) for the magazines and associated areas.

Based on the information currently available, the magazines were constructed in the 1950s and are understood to have been designed and constructed in accordance with the British standards. They are purpose-built subterranean structures specifically intended for the safe, secure, and environmentally controlled storage of explosive ordnance, propellants, pyrotechnics, and associated munitions.
