CFT 260002 Supply, Delivery (unloaded and positioned at the point of use), Installation, Commissioning, Training, Warranty and Maintenance of a TGA for Solid Fuel Characterisation and Evolved Gas Analysis Coupling - Peaceplus
The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering requires the procurement of a thermogrimetric analysis system to support the characterisation of solid fuels and related materials within the PEACEPLUS Clean Air project. The primary purpose of the equipment is to measure thermal decomposition behaviour, mass loss profiles, ash-related behaviour, and combustion characteristics of solid fuel samples under controlled atmospheres. The equipment will support research, method development, and future accredited testing activity associated with solid fuel assessment and emissions-related investigations. The required system must also include provision for coupling to a separately procured gas chromatography–mass spectrometry system for evolved gas analysis. This requirement is intended to establish a robust analytical platform aligned, where applicable, to relevant ISO and ASTM approaches for fuel and thermal analysis.
