Monaghan County Council, in partnership with the National Directorate for Fire and Emergency Management (NDFEM), (incorporating Carlow, and Tipperary County Council), has secured funding to develop a Learning and Development Campus at Annahagh, Monaghan. The campus will consist of three standalone buildings: 1. Learning and Development Centre (main training and administrative building) 2. Enclosed Compartment Fire Behaviour (CFB) Training Rig 3. High Volume Pump (HVP) Appliance and Equipment Storage The facility will support national fire service training requirements, aligned with QQI and NDFEM training standards, and will provide regional and local training in Breathing Apparatus (BA) operations, compartment fire behaviour, pump operations, transportation incident response, hazardous materials response, and command and control training programmes. It will also house the regional High Volume Pump to ensure readiness for major incidents and flooding events.
