Lot 2 - High-Definition Bench-top Digital Microscope System Lot 3 – Replacement of Detector for the GE VTomex L300 Industrial CT System The new equipment must be delivered and installed on the ground floor of SEAM facilities located in the Applied Technology Building on the main campus of SETU Waterford. The contracting authority will take care of all works regarding laboratory preparation (required construction works). For Lots 1 - 3 It is required for the after award the winning Tenderer to conduct an evaluation of the site and site access at SETU and advise SETU of any alterations to services at the location that may be required, prior to delivery and installation. This can be partially or wholly facilitated remotely as required. Date and time to be confirmed with SETU and the winning tenderer. Please confirm compliance. The tenderer MUST allow access to the facilities (supplier site) to witness the factory acceptance testing of the equipment. In case the contracting authority decides not to attend in person, the tenderer will be asked to supply a certificate of the successful factory testing.

Replacement of a High-Resolution X-Ray Computed Tomography (CT) System

Replacement of a High-Resolution X-Ray Computed Tomography (CT) System of the existing X-ray computed tomography system (GE Phoenix Nanotom S). The replacement system must be capable of high-resolution 3D imaging of small and low-density components. It must match or exceed the current system's performance across all key areas, including X-ray source power, sub-micron detail detectability and voxel resolution, a high dynamic range detector, and the ability to accommodate samples of at least the same dimensions and weight as the existing setup.

High-Definition Bench-top Digital Microscope System

High-Definition Bench-top Digital Microscope with a fully automated stage to as a replacement and upgrade to the current 13-year-old digital microscope. The new system must include an all-in-one optical measurement solution that combines ultra-high-definition observation, advanced 3D capabilities, automation and machine learning capabilities. In addition, it should enable magnification from 5x to 6000x. Ideally, the system must include a motorized lens turret, a full-control console for intuitive operation and a large 150 mm stage for analysis of larger sized components. This is a critical piece of infrastructure that is utilised in almost all of SEAMs industrial focused projects. It is typically the first port of call-in failure analysis investigations and foreign contaminant analysis. It is also used for the optical inspection of cross-sections, mounted and polished surfaces, dimensional measurements, grain structure, porosity and surface finish of additively manufactured components.

Replacement of Detector for the GE VTomex L300 Industrial CT System

Replacement of Detector for the GE VTomex L300 Industrial CT System. Tenders must submit a response to replace the existing detector on the current GE VTomex L300 microfocus CT system with a state-of-the-art large-format flat panel detector. The work involves the safe removal of the existing detector and its accessories and responsibly disposing them in accordance with the applicable environmental and sustainability regulations, including proper binning and waste management requirements. The new detector must be fully compatible with the existing system and deliver improved imaging performance across a large active area. The scope of supply includes all necessary hardware, accessories, and software to ensure complete integration with the current CT system, along with a compatible control PC. The supplier will also be responsible for delivery, installation, full calibration, and performance testing to verify optimal image quality. Comprehensive training must be provided to ensure operators can make full use of the new detector's capabilities, and the supplier must guarantee maintenance and servicing support for a period of ten years from installation. The new equipment must be delivered and installed on the ground floor of SEAM facilities located in the Applied Technology Building on the main campus of SETU Waterford. The contracting authority will take care of all works regarding laboratory preparation (required construction works).
