Castle Point Borough Council (CPBC) through the Essex Procurement Partnership (EPP) recently launched a tender process to renew their recycling waste disposal services contracts. (notices below). This related the provision of a waste transfer station (WTS), haulage and Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) services for the borough´s dry mixed recycling requirements (excluding glass). Due to receiving limited responses, which did not meet the Authority´s requirements, the procurement was terminated. The Authority would now like to re-engage the market to gain further understanding of certain key themes, such as pricing and income expenditure and the position around DRS, among other elements, so that we can re-issue the tender in a more informed position. We are seeking Expressions of Interest in the retender with the view to further discuss the viability of any proposed amendments with potential bidders.
