Glasgow City Council requires a suitable contractor for the collection of separately collected and bulked WUDS material from one of Glasgow City Council’s Waste Transfer Station for the onward treatment and disposal. The council also requires the contractor to be able to receive WUDS material delivered by GCC vehicles directed to an agreed authorised WUDS treatment facility.

Glasgow City Council seeks to appoint a qualified supplier for the collection, transportation, and treatment of Separately Collected Waste Upholstered Domestic Seating (WUDS) in compliance with UK and Scottish legislation governing Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs). This service is integral to Glasgow’s Resource and Recycling Strategy 2020–2030 and Scotland’s Circular Economy and Net Zero Waste Route Map, supporting the city’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions and achieving zero waste targets.
