Intention notice: Automation solution block storage for Helse Førde HF and Helse Fonna HF

This means that Sykehusinnkjøp divisjon vest, on behalf of Helse Førde HF and Helse Fonna HF, intends to enter into a procurement agreement and framework agreement for equipment dependent consumables with Nerliens Meszansky AS. The contract comprises 1 automated archiving system with equipment dependent consumables for Helse Førde HF and an option for 1 automated archiving system with equipment dependent consumables for Helse Fonna HF. The Pathology Department needs to move to more automated archiving. The system shall help archiving so that manual sorting of tissue blocks is avoided after cutting. The system shall, via computer matrix codes, be able to tell the archive position of the tissue blocks so that they can be retrieved. The system shall be able to log who archives and retrieves tissue blocks and for what purpose. The necessary integrations with the existing laboratory system Unilab will be carried out and based on bar code information on the cassettes/blocks scanned. The scanner apparatus shall be possible to operate on a normal laboratory bench so that a special table is not necessary. The boxes shall be designed so that they can be stacked and stored without the use of a specially adapted shelving system. The system must have a label solution for individual marking of boxes and shelves. The Pathology Department at Førde Central Hospital is obliged to archive the material that has been used to provide pathology diagnostics. This material consists of paraffin blocks with tissue/cells. In practice the material is kept indefinitely. The department needs to find a new digitalised archiving system for paraffin blocks. It is estimated that approx. 30,000 blocks will be archived per annum for Helse Førde Health Trust. In addition if the option for Helse Fonna HF is triggered, approx. 35,000 blocks will be archived per annum. In this case, a total of 65,000 blocks will be archived per annum. This number is expected to increase in the contract period, but the annual increase is challenging to estimate exactly. The volume of the framework agreement can be increased by up to 50% during the agreement period. The contract will be signed without a prior tender notice, as it is as far as we are aware that there are no other suppliers/manufacturers on the market who can offer the same or equivalent product. Pursuant to procurements without a competition is the Public Procurement Regulations § 13-4 first section, letter b second point. Objections to the intention of signing a contract for an automated archiving system with equipment dependent consumables with Nerliens Meszansky AS shall be directed to Sykehusinnkjøp through the procurement portal, by project manager Miriam Torheim by 20.05.2026, 12:00.
