This contract relates to the purchase and delivery of precious metals (Gold, Platinum) in the form of pellets or sputtering targets. This contract also includes a reclaim service for precious metal bearing components

gold sputtering targets

- The supplier shall provide: o 3” gold sputtering targets mounted on Kurt J. Lesker PVD backing plates (EJBPCU03K2) for use in a Lesker PVD200 sputtering tool. The target is compatible with the Kurt J Lesker company Torus Magkeeper system. o 75mm gold sputtering targets for a Leybold Univex 450 sputtering tool Targets will be ordered multiple times per year on demand.

gold and platinum pellets

- The supplier shall provide: o High purity gold pellets for E-beam evaporation. o High purity Platinum pellets for E-beam evaporation. Pellets will be ordered multiple times per year on demand.

Reclaim service for gold sputtering targets

- The supplier shall provide: o Reclaim service for gold sputtering targets originating from the Lesker PVD200 and Leybold Univex 450 tools. o Reclaim service for other precious‑metal bearing components, where applicable, including but not limited to:  deposition shields  chamber liners  shutters  clamping rings  other removable parts that accumulate precious‑metal residues during operation The primary reclaim stream is gold, but the contracting authority may also submit other precious‑metal bearing materials (e.g., Au‑contaminated shields or liners) for reclaim on demand. Reclaim services will be ordered multiple times per year on demand. For Lot 3, the tenderer shall describe its proposed end to end process (including packaging requirements, transport/pick up options, traceability/chain of custody, weighing and reporting, refining route, and the form in which value is returned to Ghent University (e.g., metal return, credit note, or other agreed mechanism), in accordance with the pricing formula and inventory.
