Better Health Manchester Ltd meets the basic selection criteria through its CQC registration and authority to deliver regulated healthcare services; with evidence of financial governance; and its extensive experience in delivering NHS primary care services supported by qualified staff, established clinical governance arrangements, and positive CQC-rated service The organisation provides NHS primary care services through GP practices in Manchester and has operated independently as a not-for-profit social enterprise since 2011, reinvesting resources into patient care, staff and the local community. The board of directors is multi-disciplinary and has a clear structure of accountability. The team includes a wide range of healthcare professionals to include: Care coordinators, GPs, Healthcare assistants, mental health practitioners, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, physiotherapists and practice nurses. They have a Staff Consultation Group with elected representatives, so everyone's views are heard. The Staff Wellbeing Programme helps to ensure that everyone is supported and work as a team. Any additional resources are used to fund projects that add social value and break down health inequality. This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award. The standstill period begins on the day after the publication of this notice. Representations by providers must be made to decision makers by 24th August 2026 to cwp.contracts@nhs.net. This contract has not yet formally been awarded; this notice serves as an intention to award under Most Suitable Provider.
