The provision of West London Targeted Lung Health Check Programme
The Lung Cancer Screening Programme delivers targeted lung health checks to people at increased risk of lung cancer (aged 55-74 with a history of smoking) with the aim of detecting the disease earlier, improving outcomes and reducing health inequalities. The service includes identification and invitation of eligible individuals, lung health assessments leading to referral for low-dose CT scanning where indicated, appropriate onward referral, and access to smoking cessation support. The programme is delivered collaboratively across primary care, diagnostic and secondary care settings and is governed by national quality and assurance requirements.
The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust are intending to award a contract to an existing provider following a direct award process C under The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.
The lifetime value of the contract (2.5 years with an optional 1 year extension possible) is £28,452,105.
